During the lean years after WWII, my grandmother made her very first mackintosh from an old US army parachute. In the sixties she managed to sew the fanciest of clothes for her four children. She was the one who passed on her passion for needle and thread and also imparted all of her knowledge to me.

Just like her, I love nothing more than to transform fancy fabrics into unique pieces. That is why sturdy fabrics, sustainability and learning-by-doing are incredibly important to me. The C’est mimi! Baby Collection, for example, is entirely made of organic cotton, bearing the internationally recognized GOTS Quality Label. All my products were tested to make sure they perfectly fit into the hands of curious babies, cute little princesses and adventurous pirates…

Unfortunately, grandma is no longer among us, but I am sure she would have been very proud to see that her ancient sewing basket is regularly filled with new sewing accessories, colourful buttons, dinky ribbons and that her passion lives on in me.
